Fitspirational Instagram Accounts (May '16)
When it comes to my fitness game it's safe to say I need some fitspiration every now and again to stay focused on my goals and feel motivated to get my sweat on. That's one reason I started a fitness account, I wanted to have a place to aggregate my favorite fitness grammers without clogging up my personal feed and missing my friends posts.
I figured if I find these accounts are so motivating to me, you guys might dig them too!
So below is my list of current fave fit-spiring instagram accounts (in no particular order)
WinnieBBG_ might be a food soulmate of mine. She posts so many beautiful meals and also will occasionally post her entire days worth of food. These food diary posts are IMO helpful in understanding portions and actual eating habits of a fit girl. She also started lifting and cycling after BBG which makes me think we could be gym buddies. Not to mention her workout outfits are super cute and give me outfit envy. Outfit envy seems to be a theme with all the accounts I love.
Workoutbean (Jera) is a now Soul Cycle instructor who started out as a BBG girl and basically dove into the fitness world. Her tagline of sorts is 'Embrace your inner dopeness' which is pretty much how her feed makes me feel. The fact that she is now a Soul Cycle instructor makes me automatically love her and also fear her. She also has a beautiful new blog you can check out here!
I think I started following this account a year or so ago, and I absolutely love the mission of the brand. They basically just want to inspire girls to go outdoors and experience nature rather than stay cooped up in a gym all the time. This feed always gets me hungry for a good hike, not to mention how beautiful their photos are.
HelloBurpees (McKayla) is a new account I am following and I'm already digging her feed. This girl is super real, super pretty, and also loves peanut butter possibly more than me which I didn't think could be done. She's on round 4 of BBG and her transformation proves how hard she has worked everyday. Also her pics give me major outfit envy.
Oh and she also did a $100 nike giveaway to her followers. You heard that right.
Fit_Beina is Spanish which makes her automatically sexy, and look at her transformation photo! Amazing! She also posts a lot of videos of her working out, and for some reason these videos work more than anything to motivate me and get me to the gym. Something about seeing her working so hard makes me want to get a sweat on too. Also #abgoals ... need I say more.
This girls feed is super bright and clean which just makes me happy. Her meals look SO yummy and make me want to get in the kitchen and make something healthy. She's also really good at figuring out how to modify exercises in BBG to work for her, which the guide doesn't pay enough attention to IMHO. Sometimes my knees hurt doing jump lunges and I think 'How can I modify this to not hurt my joints so much?' and this girl is figuring that out.
This girl is major booty inspiration for me as she gained an awesome butt from lifting heavy weights. It also seems like she's always at the gym which makes me think I should go more often, but she is a personal trainer so it makes sense! Her food pics are also luscious and make my mouth water.
Jessica Olie is seriously one of my favorite accounts. She's a yoga girl from Dubai who is now traveling all over cause she's like, really popular. She is super genuine and shares a lot about herself and her personal struggles, which is bold and makes me respect her for putting herself out there. She shared that she was bullied when she was younger and IMHO she has completely overcame, and now preaches confidence in yourself and loving yourself to the fullest. At the end of the day I think that's the most important part of anyone's fitness journey: learning to take care of yourself and love your body as it is right now. Her photos are some of the most beautiful yoga pictures I've seen. To end on a light note she also wears the cutest workout clothes, giving me major outfit envy in pretty much every picture.
She also has a 'Let's Start Yoga' e-book (yes, I have bought it) and it is as amazing as it seems. This book got me started on my at home yoga practice, and also made me more confident in myself when going to different studio classes. If you want to try yoga at home, or just learn the splits, I highly recommend. You can purchase it HERE!
Melissa is a registered dietician and you can tell in her food pics because they are beautiful and also super healthy (and plant-based!). Look at that vegan sushi... tell me it doesn't look amazing! She's a BBGBride (aka prepping for her wedding) which is super fun to follow along as I have no idea what that process is like but she makes it seem easy and fun because she always seems very happy... She's also been doing BBG for a full year! Mad respect to that commitment. Oh and did I mention she does giveaways?
SO now I would love to know, who are your current favorite fitspirational instagrammers? Leave a comment with a link to their bio!
